“The Red Orchestra”
A Film Inspired by Resistance
Welcome to our project dedicated to the gripping story based on the legendary anti-nazi resistance group “The Red Orchestra.”
About the Film
Set in the shadowy world of postwar Berlin, this thriller follows the quixotic and dangerous path of an American veteran, Jack, searching the ruins of the city for a lost friend from his childhood. His quest reveals a city scarred by war and shrouded in secrets. Everyone Jack meets has a hidden agenda. No one tells him the truth, and his persistence only seems to uncover more terrible secrets. Eventually Jack discovers his friend was a member of the “The Red Orchestra,” a resistance network brutally suppressed by Hitler – whose survivors are still trying to overcome traumas while freeing their society from fascism’s legacies.
As Jack tries to make sense of his friend’s sacrifice he must also confront very real dangers and the moral dilemmas of this new era, charting his own path for the future .
“The Red Orchestra” explores themes of courage, betrayal, and the enduring fight for justice, honoring the legacy of those who resisted tyranny and celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.
The Artist Stefan Roloff
To support our vision, we present “Of Mice and Monuments,” a series of digital artworks by Stefan Roloff. Renowned for his innovative techniques and connection to the subject as the son of one of the resisters, Stefan Roloff’s artworks complement the film’s exploration of resistance and resilience.
